Huons Meditech receives Taiwan FDA approval for gynecological drug delivery system 'Jill'SOF'

Huons Meditech, a medical device company of the Huons Group, has begun exporting electrically powered drug delivery system and the dedicated microneedle designed for gynecological use to Taiwan, actively expanding into the global market.

On April 22, Huons Meditech (CEO Lee Jin-suk) announced that it officially received Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) approval for 'Jill'SOF' and 'V-needle' and began its first export.

'Jill'SOF' is an electrically powered drug delivery system for treating vaginal dryness. 'Jill'SOF' combines hardware and software specialized for vaginal treatment. The user can easily set the amount and speed of drug delivery, allowing customized treatment for each patient.

'V-needle' is a disposable microneedle used with ‘Jill’SOF’ to ensure the medication is safely and effectively injected into the treatment area, thereby directly improving the condition of vagina.

The procedure using 'Jill'SOF' and 'V-needle' takes about 10 minutes, which is relatively short. In addition, there is almost no pain, so the procedure can be performed without procedural sedation, which allows the patient to return to daily life as soon as possible after the procedure.

Huons Meditech is also preparing to launch a cutting-edge drug delivery system, 'Jill'SOF Queen', which integrates benefits of advanced aesthetic technology from 'Dermashine' and intravaginal drug delivery system from 'Jill'SOF'. Huons Meditech aims to obtain TFDA approval within the year.
