Huons Meditech, a medical device maker under Huons Group, showcased its key products including a lithotripter at the annual meeting of the American Urological Association 2024 (AUA 2024), held in San Antonio, Texas, the U.S. from May 3-9, the company said on Thursday.

The AUA meeting is a prestigious international event in urological medicine, drawing esteemed urologists worldwide to propel the field forward through knowledge exchange and idea dissemination.

Huons Meditech, in partnership with Huons USA, showcased a range of cutting-edge urological products, notably ASADAL-M1, a lithotripsy device designed to pulverize urinary stones within the kidneys. Its innovative capabilities garnered significant interest from urologists worldwide, the company said.

ASADAL-M1, cleared by both the FDA in the U.S. and CE in Europe, effectively crushes urinary stones using magnetic and extracorporeal shock wave technologies. This non-invasive method offers shorter procedure times and safer outcomes, compared to traditional surgery. Patients can undergo treatment and leave on the same day.

“ASADAL-M1, showcased at the AUA 2024, enhances convenience for both practitioners and patients," a Huons Meditech official said. "We will bolster our global presence as a medical device company, leveraging our proprietary technology to introduce outstanding products."
