Huons Meditech wins '$7 million Export Tower awards'

Huons Meditech received the Export Tower award on December 5th after surpassing record export volumes of $7 million. 

The Trade Day awards ceremony is hosted by the Korea International Trade Association and organized by the Ministry of Trade and Industry, and annually selects and rewards companies that have contributed to pioneering overseas markets and increasing exports.

Despite increased difficulty in global marketing with the COVID-19 crisis over the past few years, the company performed well by achieving exports of approximately $7 million.

Along with winning the $7 million Export Tower awards, CEO Cheong Woon Cheon received the Presidential citation in recognition for his leadership in pioneering global markets and expanding exports.

Huons Meditech has managed to achieve a record export sales volume in Europe and China with DermaShine, an aesthetic mesotherapy medical device with auto injection system. Moreover, the company’s extracorporeal shock wave lithotripter, automatic endoscope re-processors and medical disinfectants contributed to the increase in exports.

The company explained that the expansion of export market is the result of the years of company-wide efforts to develop innovative medical devices with the highest standards and foster emerging global markets in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and South America.

"This Export Tower award is the result of our continued efforts to enter global markets," said Cheong Woon Cheon, CEO of Huons Meditech. "And we plan to focus on continuing to target overseas markets in Europe, the Middle East, and South America."
